Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater 2017 Transforms a Wall into a Connector

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater is the world’s most popular modern dance company. The African-American company naturally has Latin dancers because Latin is Black too.

The company is in residence at New York City Center. It’s summer season at Lincoln Center is a chance for audiences to see the season’s premieres after they have had a chance to mature.

Like a marsh at the mouth of a great river, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater has a remarkable ability to clear the muddy waters of American cultural life. With a vision that embraces rather than runs from our problems, this company transcends all barriers.
