The Virgin Mary in all her forms represents female aspects of the divine in all her forms.
We don’t represent any religion
We write about faith in the hope that sharing traditions leads to the discovery of our common humanity. Whatever way makes sense to you, may you and your family be blessed.
One of the cool things about the Virgin is that her veneration didn’t come from the church, it came from the people. That makes sense. The Latin church is very patriarchal, but in any kind of pain, most people’s first instinct is to turn to mother.
The Virgin is Mother. As patron saint of various countries and towns, the Virgin Mary has come to represent many of the peoples of the world. In the broadest sense, she represents Mother Earth, the mother of us all.

The Virgin Mary of Einsiedeln Abbey is from the German part of Switzerland, so she’s not Latin (except for the faith). She is so beautiful. The Virgin of Einsiedeln is one of the most striking Virgins we have seen.
