Dominican Film Festival 2018

The 2018 Dominican Film Festival New York opens at the United Palace in Washington Heights, Manhattan on Tuesday, July 24 at 8 pm, and runs through Sunday, July 29, 2018.

The Dominican Film Festival New York presents the year’s best Dominican films, produced either in the Dominican Republic or by the Dominican diaspora.

The Festival opens with Francis “Indio” Disla’s 2018 Dominican romantic comedy at the United Palace in Washington Heights, Manhattan on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 7 pm. $30 – $120

A petty thief, who sees the dead, meets the spirit of an actress in a coma who must find true love in nine days before they pull the plug on her.

Archie Lopez’ 2018 Dominican drama gets its international premiere at AMC Empire 25 in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan on July 29, 2018 at 9 pm. $33.72

It’s the story of twin brothers who are separated at birth. One becomes a good man, the other becomes a thief. One day the thief robs the good brother and the fight leaves the good brother in a coma. Noticing their resemblance, the thief takes his brother’s identity and enters the family. How long can you live a lie?
