The Israel Day Parade is a New York City celebration of Jewish culture. It started in Manhattan’s Upper West Side in 1965.

54th Israel Day Parade 2018

The 2018 Israel Day Parade or Celebrate Israel Parade marches up Fifth Avenue from 57th St to 74th St from 11 am – 4 pm. Rain or Shine!

This is the world’s largest celebration of Israel’s 70th anniversary. It feaures over 40,000 marchers from 250 organizations, 15 marching bands, 30 floats and hundreds of thousands of spectators.

The Parade is produced by the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York (JCRC-NY).

2018 Israel Day Parade Theme

The 2018 Parade theme is “70 and Sababa!” (70 & Awesome!)

“70 and Sababa!”

Sababa is an Israeli expression that translates as “Awesome” like “Chévere” (Spanish) or “Legal” (Brazilian Portuguese).

Watching the Parade is free, but a limited number of VIP tickets are available at

You can watch the Parade live on Fox My9 cable television from 12 – 2 pm or stream it at from 12 noon – 3 pm.
