The Havana Film Festival New York promotes Latin American films in collaboration with Cuba’s Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano (International Festival of New Latin American Cinema of Havana or Habana Film Festival).
It screens films that you won’t see anywhere else in NYC. These are not Hollywood blockbusters. They are the exact opposite. Havana Film Festival selections have great storytelling and emotional depth that is beyond the comprehension of most Hollywood filmmakers.
The Festival usually has great opening and closing night parties.
