Open-Air Amphitheater on the Boardwalk
The Coney Island Amphitheater (Ford Amphitheater) is a 5,000-seat, tented open-air theater at the historic Child’s Building in Seaside Park on the Coney Island Boardwalk.
Being open-air and near the beach wind makes this a great venue during the pandemic.

The Child’s Building
The Amphitheater was part of the redevelopment of the historic Child’s Building, a Spanish Revival building from 1923. Child’s Restaurants was one of the first American restaurant chains.
The building was redeveloped in 2016 and the amphitheater was added. It is a centerpiece of the Seaside Park and Community Arts Center.
