Fort Greene, Brooklyn is a historic cultural district next to Downtown Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Clinton Hill and Prospect Heights.
The Williamsburg Savings Bank Tower (1929) is Fort Greene’s primary landmark. It used to stand all alone. From some angles it looks rather like a giant phallus over Brooklyn. There are now other skyscrapers nearby.
Neighborhood parks include Fort Greene Park and Commodore Barry Park.
