Manhattan’s Upper West Side is a residential and cultural neighborhood anchored by Lincoln Center and the American Museum of Natural History.
It runs from 59th to 110th St, between the Hudson River and Central Park. Lincoln Square is a sub-neighborhood below 72nd St.

The Grand Bazaar NYC is a popular Sunday antiques market both outdoors and indoors at 100 West 77th St. It is every Sunday from 10am – 5pm. grandbazaarnyc.org
The neighborhood’s big event is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Cinco de Mayo Parade is sometimes in the Upper West Side too.
UPPER WEST SIDE, September 1654 ~ The first Jewish group arrived in New Amsterdam fleeing the Spanish Inquisition which had followed them to Recife in Dutch Brazil. They formed Shearith Israel, the Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue, America’s first Jewish congregation.
