The Beacon Theatre is a restored 2,894-seat movie palace in Manhattan’s Upper West Side. It hosts concerts, film festivals and awards.
A Restored Movie Palace
The Beacon Theatre was originally designed for silent films, but opened in 1929 as Warner’s Beacon Theatre. The Beacon was a first-run movie theater until 1974 when it was converted into a live concert venue. The Madison Square Garden Company took over operations in 2006.
