There are many agencies, but these are relevant to culture:
- NYC Department of Cultural Affairs
- NYC Department of Education
- NYC Department of Parks & Recreation
- NYC Department of Small Business Services
- NYC Media oversees public broadcasting in NYC
- Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment (MOME)
Some agencies that serve the city are indirectly part of the city government.
- NYC Economic Development Corporation is a nonprofit corporation that promotes economic growth and especially real estate development.
- NYC & Company is New York City’s official marketing and tourism agency.
