Alcarrás Trailer

This is great filmmaking. There is a lot of subtle messaging in the cinematography. It’s the story of a family, which is something we can all relate to.

Carla Simón is a Catalan Spanish film director from rural Barcelona. She understands the dynamics of loss because she lost both her parents at age six. Her semi-autobiographical debut feature, “Summer 1993” was Spain’s 1993 Oscars entry. It won many awards.

She has focused her filmmaking talent on the loss of Mother Earth which is also something we can all relate to.
