Alex Da Corte is an American pop artist and filmmaker who was raised in Venezuela. He designs installations that look like pop art movie sets, or perhaps good/bad or bad/good dreams.
Da Corte is sort of a darker Claus Oldenburg.

Da Corte was born in Camden, New Jersey in 1980. He was raised in Caracas, Venezuela until he was eight years old.

Harvest Moon at the New Museum
Da Corte is creating the inaugural installation for the storefront window of the New Museum’s 231 Bowery building. The series pays homage to New Museum window installations of the 1980s.
Some of those became legendary including works by Jeff Koons, David Hammons, Linda Montao, and Bruce Nauman.
Harvest Moon is on view at 231 Bowery in the Lower East Side from September 27, 2017 – January 7, 2018.
