Añoranza de Colombia

It means homesick for Colombia. We’re not sure whether the show cures homesickness or makes it worse. It probably makes the longing worse, but you should take your entire family to see the show.

Colombia is a rich land of many distinct regions, cultures and dances. We love to dance. The show takes you on a tour across Colombia and across time.

You’ll see Mapalé, our root African dance. Of course there is the courting tradition of Colombian Cumbia. There’s also the Salsa Colombiana of Cali. That’s just for starters. We have so many traditions and they still live in us.

One of the choreographers is Daniel Fetecua, one of New York City’s best Colombian dancers and choreographers. The show is produced with Mestizo Art Center.
