One Year of Resistance is a group exhibition that celebrates art as activism. It’s the first year response to the Uprise / Angry Women exhibition which opened around the Fake President Trump’s inauguration.
The exhibition covers issues that have woken people up such as immigration rights, health care, reproductive rights, climate change, transgender rights, white supremacy, gender equality, gun control, sexual harassment, and more.
Touba Alipour’s “Closed for Renovation” recalls Alfredo Jaar’s “This is Not America” (1987) installation in Times Square.
