376 9th St, Brooklyn, NY 11215 (at 6th Ave) | Park Slope
Subway (F) (G) to 7th Ave or (R) to 9th St

The club is named after Marché Barbès, the famous Saturday morning food market under the Metro line in the 18th arrondissement of Paris that is popular with French Africans and Arabs.

The club is the original home of psychedelic cumbia band Chicha Libre. It’s a funky old bar, but it’s really cool. They don’t make them like this in New York City any more. Vive la France!
