Desigual showed its Fall/Winter 2017 collection at Skylight Clarkson Sq in Hudson Square on February 9, 2017.
The look was inspired by the female uprisings of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.
Minis with tights channel the 1960s youth revolution and California rock scene. Biker hats reflect New York’s 1970s voguing scene. The collection overall feels like the 1980s. Remember the big hair bands and that crazy Euro fashion?
Genius is always ahead of us. The designers have been working on this for six months or so. Yet somehow Desigual captured the energy of the Women’s March on Washington. It’s as if the designers are saying, “Come on ladies, together we have the power to create the country we want to live in.”

Desigual Spring/Summer 2017 ~ Global Traveler
Desigual showed their “Global Traveler” Spring / Summer 2017 collection with cool palettes, bright embroideries, and bold patterns at Moynihan Station for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week September 8, 2016.
The Global Traveler is a bold woman who is comfortable in both the urban and virtual jungles of the world. She is a pioneer with a fearless attitude, a bold individual with a creative style.
The free-spirited muse of Desigual makes her feel comfortable while accenting her femininity. Animal, botanical, and ethnic prints create flattering silhouettes. Distinct fabric combinations are enhanced with crystals and hand-sewn embroidery.
The beauty work was inspired by fun filters in the social media world.
