Grenada Independence Day, on February 7, celebrates independence from the United Kingdom in 1974. Freedom is a wonderful thing.

The day is celebrated with ceremonies, cultural performances, parades and fireworks of course. There is usually an independence day celebration at the Grenada National Cricket Stadium in the capital St. George.
