Guillermo Muñoz Vera Analogies & Dichotomies / Analogías y Dicotomías

In this exhibition of twelve oil paintings, Muñoz Vera uses his mastery of light and shadow to consider the contrasts of modern life.  He pairs the past and the present, ice and global warming, and heaven and earth.

Muñoz Vera is a famous realist painter, but the work moves beyond mere painting technique to inspire the viewer to consider what is going on in the world around us today.

These are questions that all thoughtful artists of our time are facing. Is it enough to create beauty while the world is collapsing around us?

A catalog accompanies the exhibition. It can also be viewed online.
