The Village Halloween Parade is New York City’s big Halloween celebration.

New York City gets creative with hundreds of puppets, dozens of bands, dancers, artists and the amazing crazy ideas of your fellow New Yorkers!

46th Village Halloween Parade

The 46th Village Halloween Parade marches up Sixth Avenue in Greenwich Village, NYC on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 7pm (rain or shine). FREE

It is broadcast live on NY1 from 8-10pm.

The 2019 theme is “Wild Thing!” “Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality.” Antlers, fur and nails; teeth, hooves and tails; a jangle of bells, a clattering of bones, a shuffling of straw. What separates human from beast?”

The 2019 Grand Marshall is Zohra, The Giant Spider (and Master Puppeteer Basil Twist). Zohra usually makes her appearance from the Jefferson Market Library bell tower.

Joining the Halloween Parade

The Parade itself is free. All you need is a costume. Line-up is on Sixth Avenue at Canal St at 6:30pm.
