Salsa Sundays at Orchard Beach, The Bronx is a Summer Salsa Dance Party

Salsa Sundays at Orchard Beach is a casual outdoor salsa dance party in Parking Section 5 at Orchard Beach, The Bronx from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend, from 12-5pm. The dancing is free, but you have to pay for parking. .

The Bronx is called “El Condado de la Salsa” (The Borough of Salsa) because Latin jazz and salsa developed here once upon a time in New York City.

Salsa Sundays have been a New York City tradition for over fifty years. The tradition started during the peak years of New York Salsa in the early 1970s. So this is a living connection to the past.

Bring an umbrella, a chair and a cooler and let’s dance. If you don’t have a car, you can take a bus to the Orchard Beach Bus Terminal.

Community DJs play salsa, charanga and cha-cha-cha for hundreds of dancers. Like in Puerto Rico, there is more salsa on 1, but you can dance whatever you want. ¡Todo bien!

If you love to hang out with family and friends, and love to dance salsa, you will love salsa Sundays.
