Joseph Rodriguez is a Brooklyn-born, Puerto Rican New Yorker who is an internationally renowned documentary photographer. His work appears in major media like Newsweek and National Geographic.

Rodriguez was a New York City taxi driver from 1977 to 1985. From 1984 – 1985, he was studying to be a photographer. Rodriguez shot all over New York City, but he spent quality time in El Barrio. His photos bring back memories of another New York City.
