JP Jofre

JP Jofre bandoneonist and composer

JP Jofre is a young Argentine bandoneonist and composer based in New York City.

Jofre is originally from San Juan, Argentina. He is the only young bandoneonist in New York City. He doesn’t just play, he composes. Jofre’s compositions have been recorded by Cuban Jazz legend Paquito D’Rivera, and choreographed by Argentine ballet star Herman Cornejo of American Ballet Theatre.

Jofre’s performances tend to be more for listening than for dancing Tango, but he his really unique.
