Junta Hispana 2022 is a family-oriented street fair of Latin culture with food, music, dance and folklore from 20 Spanish-speaking countries. It is sort of a Latin World’s Fair. It’s even on the Flushing Meadows Corona Park location of the 1964 New York World’s Fair.
There is entertainment for kids and grown-ups too. There’s a children’s play area, art center and coloring area.
One of our favorite things is the Junta Hispana passport. Remember collecting World Cup stamps for your book? The passport is like that. Download the passport, or pick one up at the fair. Then visit the booths of each country to get stamps. Fill out your information and turn it in for a chance to win $500.
The fair is produced by CTown and Bravo Supermarkets. We shop there because they sell many kinds of Latin food, and many of the workers speak Spanish.
