Chadian NYC

Chadian NYC is a small community.

Chad is a landlocked Central African country that straddles the Sahara, Sahel and Savannah regions. The land was fertile and more populated in prehistoric times. In modern times, the Chadian people control some of the Sahara’s desert caravan routes.

Despite having only one cinema in the capital, Chad has a growing film industry. Mahamat-Saleh Haroun is one of its leading lights. His “Daratt” won the Venice Grand Special Jury Price in 2006. His “A Screaming Man” won the Cannes Jury Prize in 2010. His “Lingui” is out in 2022.
