Los Crema Paraiso is a Venezuelan psychedelic Rock trio based in New York City that turns Venezuelan folk rhythms into super danceable hybrids like Techno-Joropo and Malagueña-Pop.
The trio is drummer Neil Ochoa (Si*Se, Chicha Libre), guitarist / producer José Luis Pardo (Los Amigos Invisibles) and bassist Bambam Rodríguez. Original bassist Álvaro Benavides has moved on to the Pedrito Martinez Group.
The band’s videos and performance visuals show the influence of Venezuelan modern art. Venezuela has great modern artists including Gego, Carlos Cruz-Diez, and Jesus Rafael Soto.
