Well maybe. Love has been compared to gravity, a mysterious force that binds things together. Once you go that route, you drop into quantum physics where it seems that just about anything is possible.
New York City Ballet’s Romeo and Juliet
After the original Bolshoi production in 1938 and the Kirov production of 1940, many great choreographers have been drawn to Romeo and Juliet.
Peter Martins’ premiered this choreography in 2007 for the Lincoln Kirstein Centennial Celebration honoring the ballet’s co-founder. Because Kirstein was instrumental in starting both City Ballet and the School of American Ballet, Martins uses dancers from both organizations.
