The concert is at Barclays Center in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn June 10, 2017 at 8pm.
This year’s legends are Willie Colón, Eddie Palmieri, Tito Nieves, Grupo Niche, Fruko y Sus Tesos, Tito Rojas, DLG, Eddie Santiago, Frankie Negron, and Domingo Quiñones.

32nd New York Salsa Festival 2016
The 32nd New York Salsa Festival is at Barclays Center in Brooklyn June 11, 2016 at 8pm.
This year’s lineup features superstars of Salsa including Willie Colón, Jerry Rivera, Tito Rojas, Grupo Niche, Eddie Santiago, Andy Montañez, Sonora Ponceña, Los Adolecentes.
Willie Colon
Willie Colón (The Bronx, 1950) is a legendary Nuyorican Salsa trombonist and bandleader who made a series of hit Salsa records for FANIA Records in the 1970s. The partnership between Colón and singer Hector Lavoe was special. Today Colón is a politician. This is a rare chance to see the legend on the concert stage.
Jerry Rivera
Jerry Rivera (Puerto Rican, 1973) was once known as “El Bebé de la Salsa” because he started singing as a 14 year-old kid. Rivera’s third album “Cuenta Conmigo” (Count on Me) went triple platinum in 1992 with his signature hit “Amores Como El Nuestro” (Love like ours). You may remember Rivera for 1994’s “Cara de Niño” (Face of a baby).
Tito Rojas
Tito Rojas, “El Gallo Salsero” (Humacao, Puerto Rico, 1955) is a Puerto Rican Salsa singer and bandleader. Rojas’ first hit was 1978’s “Con Amor” (With Love). Rojas is loved for 1995’s “Por Propio Derecho” (On my own right). His latest is 2014’s “El Viajero” (The Traveler).
Grupo Niche
Grupo Niche (Cali, 1978) is one of Colombia’s seminal Salsa groups. Led by Jairo Varela, Grupo Niche produced a series of hits and spun off artists into other important Colombian bands including Orquesta Guayacán.
Grupo Niche’s signature song is “Cali Pachanguero.” Cali is the capital of Colombian Salsa. In the late 1980s Tito Gomez of Sonora Ponceña sang with Niche.
Eddie Santiago
Eddie Santiago (Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, 1960) is a Puerto Rican romantic salsa singer who was popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Andy Montañez
Andy Montañez, “The Godfather of Salsa,” (Santurce, Puerto Rico, 1942) is a Puerto Rican Salsa singer who gained fame with El Gran Combo before going solo. More recently Montañez has been playing with “Salsaton,” a blend of Salsa and Reggaeton.
Sonora Ponceña
Sonora Ponceña (1954) is a seminal Puerto Rican Salsa band that was directed by Enrique “Quique” Lucca Caraballo. Today his song Papo Lucca directs the band. Papa is one of those kids who grew up in the business and just naturally took to it.
