Nona is a sad, hard and all-too-real story, but it is a story that needs to be told and needs to be heard.

The film features American star and co-producer Kate Bosworth as a police detective, and American newcomer Sulem Calderon as a Honduran woman who gets trafficked into prostitution in the United States.

Calderon was discovered by her future costar Jesy McKinney and cast by director Michael Polish. She puts in an amazing performance. Calderon is an actress to watch. She has since been cast in ‘The Jungle Book 2020’ and is really on her way to stardom.

Sulem Calderon is a natural actor who can tell you everything with just one look. At the beginning of the movie, her eyes sparkle with the light of a young woman who has dreams of a bright future. After she is taken, the light goes out. There is only darkness, el vacio, the emptiness of the void.

Slavery is not supposed to happen in 2019, but it will continue to happen as long as we participate or look away. Don’t look away. It’s time to open our eyes.

This film has the potential to be more than just a good movie that launched a talented woman’s career. Watch it and learn more at nonamovie.com
