NYC Marathon 2018

The race famously runs through all five New York City boroughs.

As is necessary for the times we live in, there will be plenty of security. Let’s support the NYPD for the great job they do.

NYC Marathon

The NYC Marathon is produced by the New York Road Runners club.

In true New York style, it is the world’s biggest marathon. Nearly 100,000 runners applied for the 2017 race. Over 50,000 finished in 2016.

It is one of the top U.S. American marathons. Boston and Chicago round out the big three.

A Marathon is 26.219 miles (42.195 km).

The NYC Marathon has been run every year since 1970, except for 2012 when it was cancelled for Hurricane Sandy.

The race is on the first Sunday in November.
