Queensbridge Park and Gantry Plaza State Park are the big parks. The park’s gantrys (railroad barge docks) are the last in New York City. They used to cover the waterfront.
The Queensboro Bridge and Long Island Tunnel connect with Manhattan. The Roosevelt Island Bridge connects with Roosevelt Island.
As of 2020, north of the Queensboro bridge is Hispanic. South of the bridge is European and Asian. It is all gentrifying because the neighborhood is so close to Manhattan.
