It’s great to see actors when they are not acting. Hearing them talk about their roles is illuminating. Sometimes you can’t help but wonder how different some actors are from the people they portray. That’s genius.

Anya Taylor-Joy is the biggest Latin star in the group. She just won the Golden Globe for Best Actress. Taylor-Joy is Argentine British American. That’s an interesting mix because Argentines and British haven’t gotten along since the Malvinas/Falklands War of 1982. The historic connection is that the British built the railroads in Argentina. The mix could make for interesting family gatherings, but love conquers all. Checkmate!

The Paley Center is part of the legacy of William S. Paley (1901-1990) who built CBS from a small radio network into one of the big three national broadcasters. He did it through quality programming.
The Center has a natural focus on radio and television, but has broadened its vision into the emerging platforms of new media.
