The 22nd Panamanian Day Parade in Crown Heights, Brooklyn is Saturday, October 7, 2017.
Panamanian Day Parade Assembly
The parade assembles at Franklin Ave and Bergen St.
9 am Assembly
10 am Parade ceremony
11 am Parade starts
Panamanian Day Parade Route
The parade route is:
- Franklin Ave at Bergen St
- Down Franklin Ave
- President St to Classon Ave
- Classon Ave to Eastern Parkway
There is a Panamanian Street Fair at the end of the parade.
Panamanian Day Parade Honorees
The Special Guest is Urenna A. Best Gayle. She is the Director General of the National Secretariat for the Development of Afro-Panamanians (SENADAP)
The 2017 Grand Marshals are Honorable Shawndya L. Simpson and Jose F. Francis.
Ms. Simpson is a New York State Supreme Court judge in the New York Supreme Court 2nd Judicial District.
Mr. Francis is the producer and host of the New York City cable television show Rinconcito Panameño en Nueva York.
