Photoville is a FREE outdoor photography fair in a pop-up village of shipping containers under the Brooklyn Bridge in DUMBO, Brooklyn from September 13-16 and 20-23, 2018.
7th Annual Photoville 2018
More than 600 artists, in 90 photography exhibitions in and around freight containers, will be visited by about 90,000+ people. There’s a beer garden with food.
There are interesting African and Muslim projects.

John Moore’s Undocumented
John Moore’s picture of a Honduran child looking up and crying while her mother is taken into custody by ICE is THE photo of the Republican administration’s inhuman family-separation policy.
Wondering how to tag an exhibition about the border, I don’t know which countries to tag. People from every part of Central and South America come through.
The Republicans suggest that people migrate because they want a bigger TV, but nobody abandons their lives for that. People run because their lives and the lives of their family members are in immediate danger.
When a gang comes for your son or daughter, you run before the sun comes up. The gangs that have taken over several Central American countries, were organized in Los Angeles jails.
It’s die or run. What would you do in that situation? Who are we to turn away and abuse people running for their lives?
