The Portugal National Football Team Reached the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar Quarter-Finals

The Portugal National Football Team is ranked #9 in the soccer world by FIFA as of October 2022.

We have a couple of nicknames. “A Seleção das Quinas” (selection of the Quinas) is a reference to the Portugal coat of arms. “Os Navegadores” (The Navigator) is a reference to Prince Henry the Navigator, who directed world explorations in the early Portuguese Empire during the Age of Discovery.

Our home ground is Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, a suburb of Lisbon. We also play in stadiums around Portugal.

As of 2022, the team plays the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar, UEFA European Championship, and UEFA Nations League.
