Galerie Chenel at TEFAF New York Fall 2018 (Mark Niedermann/TEFAF)

TEFAF in Maastricht, Netherlands is Europe’s big antiques fair. It comes to New York City in the spring and fall.

TEFAF is one of the events on the social calendar of New York City’s elite. There are great antiques. The people-watching is fantastic. It brings together dealers, collectors and the curious.

Do go upstairs to see the curated exhibitions which include Colnaghi’s old master paintings, Anne Sophie Duval’s modern design, and Mayoral’s European paintings, drawings and sculptures.

4th TEFAF New York Fall 2019

The exhibition includes a portrait of Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, the Venezuelan art collector who is one of the most important people in the art world right now because of her major donation to MoMA.

There is an invitation-only opening night reception to benefit Memorial Sloane Kettering on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 5-8pm.
