TEFAF New York Spring 2018 is an art fair of museum-quality art and antiques.

TEFAF is The European Fine Art Fair. It is Europe’s leading fair of museum-quality art and antiques. TEFAF is sort of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Fairs. The Fair is an encyclopedia of art history over the last 7,000 years. It also gets into design.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art Fairs
The parent fair is TEFAF Maastricht in Maastricht, the Netherlands in March. Like Art Basel in Switzerland and Miami, big spenders fly in on their private jets and spend millions at the fair. The next TEFAF Maastricht is March 16 – 24, 2019.
TEFAF’s core has been Dutch and Flemish Old Master paintings, but it is following the collectors into modern and contemporary art. In addition to Old Masters, Modern, and Contemporary art, the fair’s dealers offer jewelry, African and Oceanic art, and antiquities.
Most of the fair’s energy comes from American collectors, so TEFAF opened TEFAF New York in 2016. This is the Spring fair’s second year.

TEFAF New York Spring is at the Park Avenue Armory in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Friday – Tuesday, May 4 – 8, 2018.
This year’s fair features 90 exhibitions. More of New York City’s leading galleries are exhibiting. New exhibitors include Gagosian, Gladstone Gallery, Hauser & Wirth, Marian Goodman Gallery, Lévy Gorvy, Matthew Marks Gallery, Mnuchin Gallery, Taffin, White Cube, and others.
