The Black Comic Book Festival 2023 is really about the future. It’s a festival where kids of all ages can imagine a best version of themselves and starting creating their own future.
The SchomCom brings together animators, Blerds, bloggers, cosplay, illustrators, publishers and writers of Black comic books and graphic novels.
There are panels, workshops, and creative showcases of the latest Black comics and graphic novels. A cosplay showcase is one of the festival’s highlights.
And of course there are fans and their families. This is a family festival. It’s a great place to bring your kids (of all ages). We need them to see the future.

The 11th Black Comic Book Festival 2023 is a family gathering of comic and graphic novel creatives and fans, with a cosplay showcase; at Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem, NYC; on Friday-Saturday, April 14-15, 2023 from 10am – 8pm.
