The Tour de France is one of cycling’s three Grand Tours.

The 105th Tour de France is July 7 – 29, 2018. It starts a week later than usual because of the 2018 World Cup Russia.

Tour de France

The race is actually the accumulation of daily stages. The overall Race is one thing, but each daily Stage is a race in itself.

| Race – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – ->
| Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 . . . Stage 21

Within each Stage riders can earn Points for sprints within the Stage. The Tour is also a race between Teams. The best climbers and youth riders (under 25) are also recognized.

Several classifications are recognized. The leader in each classification gets to wear a colored jersey.
