The 139th US Open tennis championship is at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, and live on ESPN, August 26 through September 8, 2019.

The US Open is an old New York end-of-summer thing. It’s one of the places to see and be seen. The two-week tournament gets intense in the second week.


US Open 2019

Spaniard Rafael Nadal (#2), Romanian Simona Halep (#2) and Spaniard Garbiñe Muguruza (#25) give the US Open some Latin flavor.

In Men’s Singles, the Rafael Nadal challenges Djokovic.

In Women’s Singles, Simona Halep challenges Serena Williams.

Grounds tickets start at $65. They give you first-come, first-serve access to Louis Armstrong Stadium, the Grandstand and all field courts.

USTA Billie Jean National Tennis Center

This is one of the world’s largest tennis facilities with 22 courts and 11 more in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

Arthur Ashe Stadium

This is the main court. The removal-cover stadium seats 22,000.

Louis Armstrong Stadium

The original main court reopens as a 14,000-seat stadium with a retractable roof.

The Grandstand

This is a show court. The Tennis Center’s third court seats 8,000.
