“Visionaries: Creating a Modern Guggenheim” examines the Guggenheim Museum’s permanent collection of Modern art through the eyes of the key patrons who created the museum, February 10 – September 6, 2017.
About Visionaries: Creating a Modern Guggenheim
The exhibition includes 170 modern works by 70 artists. Each round of the Guggenheim exhibits art from one of the museum’s six key patrons: founder Solomon R. Guggenheim, his niece the art collector Peggy Guggenheim, artist Katherine S. Dreier, art dealers Karl Nierendorf and Justin K. Thannhauser, and the museum’s first director Hilla Rebay.

French artists: Georges Braque, Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, Fernand Léger, Manet, Toulouse-Lautrec
