José Molina

José Molina was born in Madrid, Spain in 1965. After working in advertising, he turned to painting.

Molina describes himself in reference to the end of the Franco dictatorship in Spain, and how that shaped his art and his commitment to social issues.

Molina’s first exhibition was at Galleria Rubin in Milan, Italy in 2004. He is popular in Italy. Today, the artist lives and works in Gravedona, Lake Como, Italy.

The Visionary World of José Molina opens with a reception at Able Fine Arts Gallery in Manhattan’s Lower East Side from 6 – 8 pm on Friday, March 30, 3018. The exhibition is on view Wednesday – Sunday through April 26, 2018.
