Brazilian Day NYC 2022 is Back in Little Brazil as a Street Fair Only

Brazilian Day NYC 2022 is NYC’s Brazilian Independence Day celebration over Labor Day Weekend.

Brazilian Day 2022 is expected to be a casual street fair only in Manhattan’s Little Brazil on 46th St between Fifth & Sixth Avenues on Labor Day Weekend, Sunday, September 4, 2022 from 9am – 5pm. Free. 🇧🇷

The music festival part of Brazilian Day is cancelled this year for several reasons. Organizer João De Matos says the street fair is still on, but nobody seems to know for sure.

The NYPD has given notice of street closures, but days before the weekend, even Brazilian restaurants in Little Brazil don’t know if Brazilian Day is on or not.

We suspect there will still be some partying because we love to party and are proud to be Brazilian.
