Cielo closed in 2018

Cielo is an intimate night club in New York City’s Meatpacking District that hosts big name DJs. In Spanish “Cielo” translates literally as “sky,” but it means “heaven.”

They have a rope, but it is a cooler rope than a lot of other clubs. If you are worried about getting in, go with beautiful women or go early.

Latin DJs at Cielo

Legendary New York Puerto Rican DJ Louie Vega has a long-running Wednesday night residency Roots NYC. He goes to Europe in the Summer.

Cielo has Ibiza Roots

Cielo opened in 2003 when the Meatpacking District was still a meatpacking district. It is co-owned by Nicolas Matar who is known for his years DJing at Pacha in Ibiza, Spain.

Cielo celebrates its 15th anniversary in January 2018.
