Fuerza Regida formed in March 2015 as a cover band in San Bernardino, California, before frontman Jesús Ortiz Paz, guitarist Samuel Jaimez, guitarist Khrystian Ramos, tuba player José García, and tololoche player Moisés López built one of the defining sounds in regional Mexican music.
The band fuses traditional corrido instrumentation with hip-hop, trap, and electronic production, a sound that helped popularize the corridos tumbados movement and carried it from Inland Empire backyard parties into stadiums.
They are a real American success story.

Citi Field marks the closing night of Fuerza Regida’s first-ever U.S. stadium tour, a nine-city run that carried the band from the West Coast corridos scene to some of the country’s biggest ballparks. Closing the tour in New York puts the East Coast’s growing música mexicana audience front and center.
The tour title is probably more than the band saying they dream of playing stadiums. They are likely saying that the American Dream is ours too. It’s not for just one group, it’s for all Americans. And many Mexicans have been Americans since before our country was even founded.

Fuerza Regida is a Mexican American band rooted in the Sinaloan and norteño traditions of regional Mexican music. Their style, often called requinto urbano, layers gritty urban lyricism over acoustic corrido instrumentation, and later albums pushed further into Latin trap, drill, and dance music collaborations.
