Festivals are a great time to get to know a country or region. These are some of the big festivals in Spain.

January 20, 2020 ~ La Tamborrada is a drum festival in San Sebastián, Spain.

February 20 – March 1, 2020 Cádiz Carnival is one of Spain’s popular Carnivals.

February 21 – March 1, 2020 ~ Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival is Spain’s most popular Carnival.

March 15-19, 2020 ~ Las Fallas de Valencia is a fire festival in Valencia, Spain

April 5-11, 2020 ~ It’s Holy Week, the Christian spring festival. Seville, Málaga, Valladolid and Leon have major celebrations.

April 28 – May 3, 2020 ~ La Feria de Abril is the April Fair of Seville, Spain

May 4-17, 2020 ~ Córdoba Patios Festival is a flower festival in Cordoba, Spain.

May 9-17, 2020 ~ La Feria del Caballo is a horse festival in Jerez, Spain.

June 27-30, 2020 ~ The Haro Wine Festival is a wine festival in Haro in La Rioja, Spain.

July 7-14, 2020 ~ The San Fermin festival hosts the bull run in Pamplona, Spain.

July 16-19, 2020 ~ The Benicàssim Festival is a rock festival in Benicàssim near Valencia, Spain.

August 15-21, 2020 ~ La Festa Major de Gràcia is a festival of decorated streets in the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona, Spain.

August 15-22, 2020 ~ La Feria de Málaga is a summer festival on the Costa del Sol in Málaga, Spain.

August 22-30, 2020 ~ La Semana Grande de Bilbao (Aste Nagusia) is a Basque summer festival in Bilbao, Spain.

August 26, 2020 ~ La Tomatina is a tomato festival in Buñol, Spain.

September 4 – October 4, 2020 ~ 21st Bienal de Flamenco is the big flamenco festival in Seville, Spain.

October 12, 2020 ~ La Fiesta Nacional de España is Spain’s national day. The big party is a military parade in Madrid.
