The 92y Harkness Future Dance Festival 2021 is virtual at 92y.org for three weekends from April 9-25, 2021. $12
The Festival was inspired by the lockdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was conceived as a new talent showcase for a jury of leaders from dance organizations across America. Seven panelists watched 185 submissions to come up with 21 finalists who will perform for you during the Festival weekends.
Performances include introductions by the company directors and interviews with the artists.

92Y Harkness Dance Center
The 92Y Harkness Dance Center is both a dance school and festival producer. Since the 1930s, the 92Y Harkness has been one of the original homes of modern dance. Martha Graham, Alvin Ailey and Merce Cunningham of the now legendary artists developed their talents there.
It is known for the DEL Dance Education Laboratory teaching method which is now taught in NYC public schools.
