About Irving Plaza
The venue serves 25 to 1,000 guests from a Main Floor, Lobby, and Lobby Bar. Two levels offer great sight lines.
It was originally a Polish community center. It’s funny how several Polish community centers in New York City have been turned into rock venues.
In the 1970s, it was a punk rock venue. In the 1980s, it was a world music venue, and then an alternative rock venue.
Live Nation took over in the 1990s. It’s been a great New York City rock venue ever since.
