Salsa Sundays at Orchard Beach is a casual outdoor Salsa dance party in Parking Section 5 at Orchard Beach, The Bronx from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend, from 12-5pm.
The Bronx is called “El Condado de la Salsa” (The Borough of Salsa) because Latin Jazz and Salsa developed here once upon a time in New York City. Salsa Sundays have been a New York City tradition for over fifty years. The tradition started during the peak years of New York Salsa in the early 1970s. So this is a living connection to the past.
