“In Jackson Heights” is Frederick Wiseman’s 2015 documentary about our communities.

The neighborhood was named for John C. Jackson, one of the original Queens colonizer families.

Jackson Heights is one of the places in New York City where many of us can find the sights, sounds and smells of our birth countries. If you haven’t been “home” in a long time, a visit to the neighborhood may very well bring tears to your eyes, because it feels like home for people from many nations.
