Labor Day 2019

Monday, September 2, 2019
This U.S. holiday celebrates organized labor and is the unofficial end of summer

Labor Day on the first Monday in September, is an American national holiday that celebrates American workers and the Labor movement.

It is the unofficial end of Summer. Time to put away your white clothes for the season. It’s also Back-to-School time for parents and children.

Labor Day sales in New York City shops are fantastic.

The first Labor Day celebration was an unofficial parade in New York City’s Union Square on September 5, 1882. It became a federal holiday in 1894.
